It Happened!

The new reroute (a stretch of about four to 5 miles) on Rt. 5 around the "quiet zone" in the Willoughby State Forest (that had been closed this year to snowmobilers) is now finished. We want to say thank you to the volunteers who provided many hours of time to put this trail in place which included a new 40 foot bridge. And special thanks to the landowners also who made this reroute possible.

Bingo Fundraiser

We are continuing to sponsor Bingo as a fundraiser at the West Burke Community Center every Saturday of each month from 6:00-8:30 PM. Cash prizes. Hot dogs, snacks and beverages available.

Charity Focus

On February 2, our Club voted to designate the local Boot Fund as our Charity Focus this year. The Boot Fund provides warm, winter outdoor clothing and boots for disadvantaged children ages infant to 16 in the Towns of Burke, East Haven, Newark, Sheffield, Sutton and Wheelock. If you would like to donate new or slightly used items in good condition, you may do so by dropping off the items at the residence of Kermit & Gail Weed, Burke Cottage Rentals, Route 5, about a mile south of West Burke. Call them first at 467-3416. And thank you so much for your donations!
